    Nominations open for Smead Awards
Calling the MV community! It's your chance to nominate an individual for the annual Smead Awards. Do you know an alumnus who is doing something spectacular in his or her career? Or maybe an MV parent or community member who has been giving back to the MV community? Please take a moment to fill out this survey nominating them for a Smead Award. The survey takes about 5-10 minutes, so it's a quick and easy way to recognize achievement and distinction.The awards are:
  • Alumni Achievement Award: Recognizes the service and achievement of an alumnus/a who has demonstrated unique or significant accomplishments in any of the following categories: career and professionalism, volunteerism, or service to Maumee Valley Country Day School.
  • Young Alumni Achievement Award: Recognizes the achievements of an alumnus/a under the age of 40 years.
  • Alumni Service Award: Recognizes an alumnus/a who has given outstanding service to an MV event or activity.
  • Lifetime Dedication Award: Recognizes the outstanding contributions of an alumnus/a who has shown dedication and service to Maumee Valley.
  • Alumni Parent Dedication Award: Recognizes the continued volunteer dedication of a parent of an alumnus/a beyond the years when his or her child or children were students at Maumee Valley.

    Lasting & Meaningful Connections
Maumee Valley Country Day School alumni are welcome to participate with fellow classmates in the life of the school, as Maumee Valley alumni provide an invaluable bridge between our school's past to its future. It is gratifying to contribute to the overall well-being of our beloved educational institution. It is always a pleasure to return to the place that defines our beginnings.

There are so many ways for alumni to reconnect. Maumee Valley hosts several alumni events on campus throughout the year: "Homecoming Weekend" and "Alumni Reunion Weekend" in September; "Get Back Give Back Day" in November; our "Holiday Hoops and Holiday Party" in December; and the Smead Luncheon in May. Additionally, we host regional gatherings in major cities, including Washington, D.C., New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago, Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Los Angeles.

If you have not had the opportunity to visit campus in the last year, I urge you to stop by Maumee Valley Country Day School for a visit. The mission of the Maumee Valley Country Day School Alumni Association is to maintain and promote lasting and meaningful connections from the school to its alumni, and from alumni to alumni. The Association recognizes that alumni are a vital part of the greater Maumee Valley community and that they play an essential role in support of the mission of the Maumee Valley Country Day School.
